The devices and equipment of this center are capable of testing various necessary parameters such as gain, radiation pattern, directivity, polarization, axial ratio, and impedance parameters (Z, Return loss, V.S.W.R) of any type of antenna at different frequencies and by far-field method.
The transmitter section includes a synthesizer-type signal generator that produces the desired frequency signal with high frequency stability; in this way, the signal produced by the transmitter antenna is radiated. In the receiver section, the antenna under test is rotated around its axis by the positioner at an appropriate speed, and during rotation, the received signal is transmitted to the LNA system and spectrum analyzer at any moment by the Low Loss cable.
The maximum received signal power is measured at any moment by the spectrum analyzer and the received signal power information is transferred to the computer via the GPIB cable and at the end the available information is plotted as a radiation pattern by the software program prepared by Khajeh Nasir University in the Matlab environment.
The antenna center is currently operating as the only standard center for testing and measuring antennas in various parameters in the country. After equipping this center, considering the capacities of the Tekta Company’s antenna center in Alborz province, it will be used almost daily by all domestic antenna manufacturers, designers and researchers, including the Iranian Broadcasting Organization, the Iranian Telecommunications Company and affiliated companies and various telecommunications industries, military forces, universities, etc.; so that this center, before belonging to a specific company or organization, is operating as a national center serving the country’s industry to meet the needs in this area.
